There is nothing wrong with the animation. It's the produced by the same studio, unfortunately they had to outsource a few episodes due to the pandemic. BUT those said episodes did have their animation errors corrected for the Blu-ray version of this season.

This arc will be such great growth for them. Also, you will notice that the animation will look a little funny at times, this season happened midst the pandemic and due to funds they had to budget wisely on what’s parts they wanted the best animation on. Still overall enjoyable and makes you look forward to season 5! 💛

Hinata doesn't really tool that much tho, he's not like that one Little Giant spiker from Wakunan. Hinata mainly scores from just aiming at a specific spot now. Tanaka and Asahi are both better at Spiking than Hinata is imo.

I think at this he isn't that underwhelming by any means tbh. He has come a long way with his tooling from the beginning. He can score well enough without the quick against anything short of national level competition where he will struggle a lot more not having that as an addition to his arsenal.

Hinata’s growth by himself has been held back by the coach and the team because they’ve fit him into this Middle Blocker position for no real reason other than the threat of his quick. That’s why he’s able to be a decoy. His blocking isn’t good like Tsukki, his serves are trash, and his receiving is also trash, he keeps getting hit in the face lol. Without Kageyama’s amazing toss, he’s an underwhelming spiker tbh.

I don't know how you guys react to the first few episodes of this season, but I feel like a lot of reactors fall into the trap of thinking Hinata is a good "volleyball player" due to the stellar animation. He's actually awful. He's an incredible athlete, and has great stamina, but he's very raw in terms of skill. Up until this point, his only real use has been as a blunt instrument for Kageyama to batter opposing teams with, and as a result, much of his personal development as a player has been neglected. He's a middle blocker, which is usually occupied by taller players who are not typically great floor defenders due to their height and lankiness, but are good at quicks and blocking. Hinata, however, is only a middle blocker (and starter) due to the "freak quick". He's not a good blocker because of his height, and he's a liability on floor defense because of his skill, not because he's too lanky. Keep that in mind moving forward for the rest of the season (and series, for that matter).
