Sasuke pointing out he has the "Same Eyes" is very symbolic not only in terms of his progress in visual prowess, but in his understanding of Itachi. A call back to when Itachi told Sasuke to have the same eyes as him, like Itachi was hoping Sasuke would understand his sacrifice if he ever found out the truth. Having the same eyes as him. Then finding out from Naruto that Sasuke has chosen another path that goes against the one he had hoped for him, confirms the result of his actions being failure. And to bring it full circle, advises Naruto that he's going the same route he had gone and that he will surely fail. Naruto's naive way to peace and saving Sasuke at that point was to shoulder all that Pain alone, and having Itachi of all people to tell him that won't work is genius. The music they choose for when the two brothers are talking is the same one for when Naruto talks with his mum. A great contrast in in the two conversing with passed loved ones. Also some notes: 1. There's only one person alive that's as strong as Hashirama, and you'll see soon. And yes I'm not counting a Reanimation. 2. I will always argue that Madara and Hashirama were more equal than people realise. And the main reason is Hashirama's healing prowess. In their first glimpses of their final battle, you can see Hashirama is bleeding and beat up pretty bad, and Madara barely has a scratch. Then they cut to the end of their battle, and it's like they swapped visual damages lol I believe that Hashirama outlasted Madara with his superior healing prowess, which would explain why Madara holds the ability up so highly. 3. Itachi also wanted the Uchiha Name to be clean, which is why he told Naruto to take Itachi's secret to the grave.

I know alot of people take Sasuke's side that Itachi should stop and talk to him, but a few notice that Itachi always has a mission. It must suck for him too, given he probably also wanted a regular relationship with his brother and just spend some quality time. But when ur told u r the only that can do that mission, he has to always make it the priority...
