2022-02-02 02:43:19 +0000 UTCIn terms of life/death/existence shows to watch once The Good Place is over, I would highly recommend Russian Doll starring Natasha Lyonne (a co-creator with Amy Poehler); it is brilliant--darker vibes, but most obvious "successor" to The Good Place IMO re: life reflection. Not quite as funny as The Good Place (IMO) but still delightful and surprisingly moving would be Ted Lasso or Never Have I Ever. Aaand my final rec in this vein would be for His Dark Materials (HBO adaptation, third season in production)--there are Paradise Lost, religion vs. freedom, dark matter, etc. themes that are kinda subdued at the beginning but ultimately become the overarching story,
