The whole point was that he is not just a mass of evil chakra and hate but a sentient being with a name and emotions. Who has been used by shin obi and locked up in their bodies for centuries. So there was always more to him that just a hate chakra monster and that was the point of this whole tailed beast name thing cause before you just call him Nine Tails. Also to our knowledge this is the first jinchuriki he's seen grow up from birth within so Naruto and him have a bond unlike any other in this show and for so long he hasn't been on his side so this feels earned. Also Kurama is closest to Ten Tails than the others so its understandable he's unique. Also why wouldn't they get along seeing as they all can almost immediately understand what each other have been through as they are all jinchuriki who went through similar pasts. Shinobi made the tailed beasts into "monsters" but they have emotions.

Ehhh. Am I the only one that feel like things were a little too easy? Just suddenly out of nowhere Kurama goes from hating Naruto and being a manifestation of evil chakra and hate, but just being a poor animal that wants to be all buddy buddy, and has all these extra powers that the others don't, and they have things like "Tailed Beast psyche plane"s. Taking something that was supposed to be an abstract, symbolic representation of mental communication, and treating it as if it's actually some alternate dimension for Tailed Beasts (for some reason), and all the other beasts and jinchuriki suddenly get alone with each other and everyone else, after centuries of hate and murderous rampages. It just feels so... unearned to me...

Remember, that the Tailed Beasts use to be one being, the Ten Tails, and it was said that the Sage was it's Jinchuuriki, and once he was close to dying, he separated them into 9 beings of lesser power. The Sage named them, and must have been a father to them for a bit, before he did die.
