You guys should have watched 284 and 285. It’s kind of not filler and gives some action with kakashi and other 7 ninja swordsmen.

The naruto writing in the show just isn't good half the time in the war ark because they just tried to do to much. The overexplaing everything is really prominent in the show and it's really bad in the war arc, but the action and investment in the show keeps the show from crumbling during the arc and its disappointing tbh.

If Bendy guy had started the communication jutsu he would've gotten caught lacking by the Raikage. Those 5 seconds of "usesless" conversation saved him and Naruto at that moment and resulted in the battle being won.
