He tries to make Itachi likeable by giving him all the reasons for the masacre but in the story Leaf gets attacked and heavily weakend twice and other nations don't attack so it makes the argument that coup would cause war stupid, at least in my opinion.

Don't forget Danzou used the same genjutsu on Mifune (samurai dude) during the 5 kage summit to control him and made him vote for Danzou.

He didn't just ended up the whole Uchiha clan ONLY to obey the Leaf's command and avoid a coup d'etat, he did it because a coup in the Leaf village would bring chaos in the region, and other lands and villages would have attacked the Leaf to gain power and control. In the meantime, allied villages of the Leaf would go to war to protect the village, et caetera... To make it short : a BIG mess in the shinobi world, with a big war, a LOT of deaths, orphans, widows, ... What would you do in Itachi's shoes ? Knowing that Itachi is a true pacifist, because he already witnessed the horror of war in his childhood.

2021-12-09 00:02:14 +0000 UTCBRO I JUST HAD A HUGE ASS BRAIN BLAST🧠‼️I just realize that the reason that Itachi had the sickness was because Shishui was poisoned by 2 of Danzo subordinates who were Shino’s clan members who were anbu level , so it got into his system which therefore his eyes were poisoned as well. Hence why Itatchi and Danzo both couldn’t use his eye for over 10 years. Plus the reason why Danzo didn’t have the sickness was because he had the Hashirama cells but Itachi on the other hand didn’t have it so therefore he came into his sickness which led to his stamina issue boom!! 💯🤷🏽♂️😭
