2021-12-01 02:42:01 +0000 UTCIt could be cool to show them clips from the sub after certain episodes, but I would definitely suggest doing it after the fact instead of editing them into the middle of the episode. I feel like doing that would be pretty jarring (at least personally) and this way they still get to experience both versions. (I could also see that getting a little annoying when watching the uncut, and having two different versions of the audio playing.)

He didn't say they were going to switch to sub full time, he said he would insert sub for some key/iconic moments. Which, if the people on the couch are fine with, i see no reason why not. Majority of the series will still be reacted to in dub.

Stick to One it just creates drama and disappointment not doing so. Stick to dub if you want to react better/easier. Or stick to sub if you want to follow the online mass opinion but just stop going back in fourth or questioning it. Nothing good comes from this whenever it happens. Just making a decision and sticking to your guns at the start is way better than flipping all the time.

But I don't know how it would sound mixed in with English. Maybe like what others were saying about showing them after the episode.

2021-11-29 18:50:09 +0000 UTCI think the dub for S1 and most of S2 is pretty subpar, but it gets exponentially better in S3 and 4 once the VAs start to actually grow into their roles. The problem with the AoT dub is how much they change the dialogue, especially in the early seasons, sometimes even removing foreshadowing and other plot links. Ex. in S1E23, instead of Annie saying "I failed to become a Warrior", which is a MASSIVE foreshadow for the future, her line is replaced with a throwaway line about not wanting to go down the steps because she doesn't have the constitution for it. That and the god awful Titan screeching. Shudder.

If you’re (Suraj) suggesting to watch the episode all the way through in dub, then after the episode is over show one of the dope quotes from that episode in sub, I think that’s cool.

And much more voice actors like Levi and Erwin. And Mikasa saying Ereh is a must
