2021-11-11 00:43:38 +0000 UTCI don't know why, but the part where Choji saves Shikamaru and the water is pouring down, they're saying Tobi disappeared with the ninja tools, the last of the tailed beast chakaras, it reminded me of Sonic Adventure where they tried to get the last emerald but Chaos showed up abruptly and took it. There was no music, just the sound of water and they were like "Chaos has the last emerald! Now what do we do?". It has the same vibe. Like something big and bad is about to happen. lol

Why are they so surprised that the statue is moving? It was such a big deal seeing it move the first time that I was sure they'd remember... lol

2021-11-10 20:23:03 +0000 UTCTechnichally you saw the Gedo statue move during the Pain origin story, it just wasn't nearly as much of a moving spectacle as here. If I had to think of a reason for Tobi not to be using it until now it's along the lines of what Mikki said. Not so much that it has a glaring weakness but war is unpredictable. You can't say for sure with an army 80000 strong that they could never muster eough damage to render it ineffective and it posseses all of the other tailed beasts so it's kinda the lynch pin in his plan. Ultimately the longer that thing is on the field the higher the likelyhood that someone will come up with a strategy to take that thing off the board.
