Kakashi's past aren't fillers... that's canon. It's not on the manga, it's from the novel though. But there IS a filler arc that sorta gets an "excuse" from the war arc and is complete nonsense that we don't need to see.

One of the fillers tells the tale of all Naruto's friends retaking the Chunin exams in Suna. And it is one of my favorite filler arcs. A ton of fun, and lets you get to know a semi-important character who you learn practically nothing about otherwise. But it's smacked down in literally the worst possible place, right after this big cliffhanger during the war... So I'd say, absolutely watch it sometime. But definitely don't watch it when it's actually supposed to be shown.

The War Arc took nearly 4 years in the manga, and that’s no fillers. I would take the recommendation from whom ever is giving the filler info, they ain’t fail you yet. Watch it in anime order.

The thing is what some people call filler are not always filler in the universe and canon. Somethings come from book side stories and others from ontent the author made the anime add. So it complicated and not all "fillers" should be skipped because they may in fact not be fillers. Just because somethng isn't in the manga which is the first source material, doesn't mean it's not canon and to know those things you need to make some research first (or if you watch while it's broadcasting, listen to what info is given by the staff about those episodes)

To be fair watching as Shippuden was released it took 9 years to complete.

Bee was at the Cloud Village's war council, he's completely aware of what's happening and what "the plan" for him and Naruto was. He just didn't particularly care, and really doesn't care now that Naruto's found out.

Watch through to the end of the war arc skipping all fillers, then go back and watch the flashback fillers. You don’t need them to follow the war arc story, and watching them in between will drag down the pacing of the story

The War Arc gets some flak in part because it drags on but there always seems to episodes like this through out the arc, which always kept the Arc fresh and hype for me. Excellent episode.
