@The Normies yeah when I first saw this episode I cried and continued to cry with the next episodes after I'm a mama's boy and my parents aren't around any more so this hit me hard and gets better and color Nahid and Navi are missing out. And yes Uzumaki is the same thing Karin and Nagato is.

That's why Dattebayo and Dattebane are better coz they still sound different but mean the same. And it's hard grow out of something like a verbal tic if not forced and I think Kushina realised later that her verbal tic isn't something to be ashamed of.

I don't think that the story has revealed Karin's last name.............. so you probably spoiled it for them if I'm not mistaken. Prob should have let them find it on their own so they can piece it together like they are right now. However, just my opinion if they haven't revealed her last name yet.

I like the dub in general, (that's how I watched it) but the 'ya know' thing is one of those dub things that's always just gonna be a little weird... Because they really only added it in a little while ago, at the point here where he's supposed to be connecting with his mother over their little catchphrase, verbal tic thing. As much as everyone was sick of hearing "Believe it!" at least it would have been more recognizable, I feel, if that was something his mother had always said as a child too. Like, they didn't have to keep it going. It could have been something they BOTH grew out of and you just see it in her flashbacks.

You're right about the Karin and Kushina relation both are Uzumakis and hence the special chakra. Though the speciality can differ from person to person. P.S. Nagato had red hair and special chakra coz he was able to summon the Gedo Statue and use the Rinnegan which was said that no normal Human can. So now you know that he was also a Uzumaki and related to Naruto as a distant relative and so is Karin.

Naruto's catchphrase in English is closer to: "Don'tcha know?" or "As a matter of fact." So, in the old anime, it was "Believe it" and in Shippuden, it was "Ya know?", but they're both conveying the same sentiment.

Remember the cloud also kidnapped Hinata resulting in the death of Nejis father. As far as time line the events here were leading to or possibly during the 3rd Great Shinobi War. Also Naruto aired for like 15 years. I think I first started watching fan subs of it in like 2002

When the manga chapter spoilers came out we couldn't believe it, we thought it was a fake. Back then people created fake spoilers so this just felt like it was too wholesome at the time given war was about to start and given he's fighting Kyuubi. So when the pics dropped and the chapter dropped? We loved it. By far one of the most heartwarming chapters/episodes/segments in this series.

The bully thing is exaggerated for story purposes, but it's not THAT far of from normal childhood bullies. They are also kids, and therefore unaware of the consequences. That's while they'll even do extreme things that put their lives in danger. The only way to permanently put a stop to that is to come up with the perfect way to teach that lesson, which would likely require some forms of corporal punishment. And would then require for every parent to be good enough to do it properly. Japan, and many other Eastern culture opt not to target bullying itself, since it's so hard to control that, and choose instead to focus on teaching their kids that bad things happen and to be strong and endure it and come out stronger on the other side. From what I've seen in Japan, I'd say this is the more successful method.
