[Premium Access] Jujutsu Kaisen - 1x12 To You, Someday - Group Reaction (Post 1/2)

Junpei gone too soon.. But it's time to beat some Mahito booty!

Comments

Good point.

Kamina 1

In the end it is a shonen so I can see why someone would assume that

Mike B

Oh ok then. Still I’m right about the exam part where they have to go on a solo mission in order to become a grade 1 sorcerer.

Sergio

Pretty late, but about the guy at the beginning; He's a second grade right now and Nanami said he'd recommend him for first grade. After he gets recommended he'll be a semi-first grade until he passes (I know you said you might be a little off, just felt like clarifying)

Solace546

If you don't remember, Sukuna already made a pact with Itadori (it's how he came back to life) and that's why he refused this pact. He already has everythinggggg he wants.....other than enough fingers/power. 0.0

SupremeCai

Mahito is like James Heller from Prototype 2.

Arindrajit Sen

Mappa is the best studio to animate current generation of anime since we have come so far in terms of graphics and animation. Makes me wish if we could see the older amazing anime with this dope animations.

Arindrajit Sen

Ah alright, I guess I can believe that

Virgil Hawkins

I think you should play close attention to the opening, it changes every eps. This episode is so sad honestly, I feel so bad for Junpei, but this gives you a taste of the soul of JJK. Yuji is immune to poison bcs Sukuna is the king of poisons and curses. Also remember: Jogo is a curse born from human's fear of the Earth, Hanami is a curse born from human's fear of the forest, and Dagon is curse born from human's fear of the sea. Mahito is humanity's fear and hate for each other turned into a curse.

Patricia

I would be glad if you guys watched God of Highschool after JJK. It has some dope animation adn story too. Quite a few people didn't like it. I liked it personally and if the patrons feel the same as me about it then you guys can maybe give it a shot.

Arindrajit Sen

I'm surprised at how much faith you all had in Itadori's shounen power up actually being enough to kill Mahito on his own. I remember watching this fight for the first time thinking this kid is going to get humbled quick. Mahito so far has literally just been experimenting. He is child who has barley tapped in to what he can really do. Also something important to remember. Mahito is supposedly a cursed spirit born of humans fear, and hatred of each other.

Kamina 1

1) That kid/young adult you saw in the beginning was a semi-grade 1 sorcerer I believe and pretty much to become a grade 1 sorcerer you have to do a solo mission on your own and defeat a bunch of special grade curses (I might be a off so chill manga readers). 2) Itadori is immune to poison so that attack that junpei hit on itadori did nothing to him since he’s sukuna’s vessel!

Sergio

Dude chill it ain’t that deep

Sergio

I'm pretty sure they watched next episode .

Katarina Kurko

Doesn't stop her from having a crush on Killua from HxH. And he's literally 11!

William Fritz

I think they said he's sticking around only for the JJK reactions and once the season is done he's done

Nathanial Quinn

Has it been confirmed he's stopping JJK ones as well?

Rishi Shukla

Out of all the shows Nahid is leaving, JJK might be the saddest

BS

Where the heck did you get 7:3 is the Golden ratio. A simple google search should have shown you are mistaken.

The Regret Meter

Oh yeah I think Tim Kane is right, I hadn’t heard of the golden ratio so I assumed they were right on its numerical value. But Nanami’s name does indeed mean 7 3. That hairstyle thing is interesting though.

Virgil Hawkins

The biggest lie of this show is in the opening. You see Junpei in a Jujutsu Tech uniform hanging out with the gang. Not gonna lie, had us in the first half.

SeymourAsces

Its a simple gag. In Japan a 七三分け (7:3 part) is a hairstyle where you part your hair in an assymetric manner like Nanami does. Its perceived to be a stereotypical salaryman haircut Most of the replies above are off base. Golden Ratio isn't 7:3 and a 7AM-3PM shift is far from common in Japan (Nanami even says he works 10-6)

Tim Kane

Prbly bc Itadori is a literal high schooler.

KimKaiRen

That’s next episode so you might want to delete the comment because it’s kind of a spoiler

Virgil Hawkins

The golden ratio may not mean much within the series but I feel like they’re onto something with that ratio being inspired it. Nanami’s name literally means 7 3, and considering all the philosophical ideas presented in the series, I wouldn’t be surprised by the inspiration.

Virgil Hawkins

I think those curses they showed at the end were real kids that Mahito turned ,I may be wrong but that’s kinda messed up if it’s true 😅. Cuz I remember itadori was fighting them and he felt devastated about it .

Katarina Kurko

It can also be a loose reference to the 8 hour workday, since his theme is the salaryman. 7am to 3pm is a common salaryman shift (before expected overtime, of course), and yes they do use am/pm in Japan. Akutami is good at using layers of reference his character writing.

Rekway

Yeah Sukuna is just sitting there plotting... Plotting how to ask out Megumi😜 Ok not my best joke

Solace546

Oh boy next episode cant wait

Settsu

7:3 ratio doesn't mean much lol its just a point where he has to hit for damage

Khalif Turaki

All the ladies love a Sukuna but never look the way of an Itadori 😏🤦 Rana likes them bad boys... Also his body is fine from the poison same way why Mahito couldn't use Idle transfiguration to his body...Cause he's Sukunas vessel

MojoJojoGojo

yes
