2021-07-28 05:58:50 +0000 UTCNonsense. Subtitles will be more accurate to the actual lines the vast majority of the time because they don't have to worry about lip-sync like dubbing over. Subs literally only have one job: translating what is being said. The only times you'll see them translated inaccurately compared to the voice acting is if someone is bad at their translating job, or taking artistic license and trying to spice the language up. As you get more comfortable with the original language you can occasionally catch some "that's not what I just heard them say" moments but they are few and far between. [Japanese directors have outright said even subs arnt the same as watching it in japanese no sub] I'm willing to bet these directors were referring to imported movies dubbed into JP, likely Hollywood (ex. the Fast and Furious series, which is called Wild Speed in Japan). If that is the case, then it even further reinforces the point about dubs being off from the original script and changing the experience.

2021-07-28 05:37:41 +0000 UTCUnless you’re fluent in both languages it’s not possible to gauge which is actually better. Even if some subs can sound clunky when read you don’t know if it’s because it’s a direct translation rather than an interpretive translation.

Their have been dub scripts closer to the japanese/manga for example than sub scripts. Japanese directors have outright said even subs arnt the same as watching it in japanese no sub.

I sometimes watch the full unedited reaction of MHA but other than that I don't have much I am getting right now and the group is so small for both rezero and parasite. I hope they add a new anime soon. Mob psycho or shield hero or dr stone.... I would be amazed if they ended up watching to your eternity that has been coming out recently cause that is my favorite so far this year.

2021-07-21 21:17:42 +0000 UTCSeems like Rana and Micky are in basically every anime reaction and are just pulling the channel at this point. Let's be honest, besides the occasional show that pops up every so often it is anime that is holding the channel up and getting attention and not everyone is taking part in the reactions besides mainly rana and micky. Everyone takes part in MHA which is to be expected and I am happy with that but with the recent update with Nahid it is looking even more like Chris and Suraj aren't pulling their weight on the anime reaction side anymore. Just my opinion but I guess I could be overexaggerating. It is a little disappointing. Especially when Nahid was the guy that was always wanting to react to every anime he could you knew he would be on the reactions more than likely no matter what.
