This allowed her to hit and crush her opponents without even having to move a muscle.Β As seen with her using the ability on Minerva back in Ep 28. Very much a sloth. Subaru used the ability to form a 'somewhat' protective force-field to help receive Garfs punch to his face. Yet, both abilities put a strain on him as he hasn't 'obliviously' mastered them yet, being it first time and all. Also. Echidna's insult to Emilia being a Witch's daughter could be two things. She could be meaning it as Emilia being Envy's daughter or could be meaning a whole other witch. She said 'Witch's daughter' and not 'Witch of Envy's daughter' after all. π€·π»ββοΈ

But that was not enough to stop the βchuunibyouβ demi-human. When Garfiel came at him once again, Subaru manifests an unseen hand. This helps him lands a crucial blow on his opponent. How did Subaru get the Unseen hand? Subaru inherited the Unseen Hand from Petelguese Romanee Conti. Unseen hand originally belonged to Petelguese, who was the Sin archbishop of Sloth as you remember. Thanks to Subaruβs connection to the Witch of Envy, he was able to perceive the Unseen Hand. This allowed him to defeat Petelguese, albeit with a lot of scheming and βdyingβ. Hence inheriting the authority after Petelgeuse's death.
