I guess the show has some complexity for a young teen show but is it complex or as nuanced as other anime in it's genre let alone other anime all together? No. This show was made for young teens and the writing shows that. It definitely was made for males between 12-18.

It is funny how marketa and micky have the statements of MHA being for children and that the highlighted 2nd words are too obvious but literally throughout the reactions they have had to be corrected on multiple things by the watchers because they didn't understand it or it was too complicated. Shonen is technically made for teenagers or young adults. Children can watch it as well but don't expect the writing levels to be so easy that a child can figure it out. The irony of you guys pointing one little thing out of not being complicated enough and saying it was that way for children is funny in and of itself. People that really understand writing know how complex this series can be underneath all of its simple straightforward stuff. It isn't rezero type of complex of course but for a shonen it is really good. If you are smart enough and take the time to understand the story of MHA you can find multiple underlying plot lines intersecting and connecting with one another. Horikoshi (the author) has multiple established references to real life mythology and society standards on top of other things. For all the praise you guys give bakugo it is one of the more simple developments of the series. It is obvious cause he was a full on asshole but more so later on in the series multiple other characters have different strings attached to their developments. Even Deku has had some huge developmental factors recently. A typical child wouldn't understand them. Even more so for a character like endeavor. His situation is real life and complicated and delicate. A child isn't going to understand what endeavor's character is about.

The Meta Liberation Front was teased in episodes 82 and 92. In episode 92 ,Hawks talks to Endeavor about the book in before the High End fight. There was also streaker in a trench coat who had a "shame" quirk screaming about Meta Liberation before Hawks hit him with feathers.

lmao Tsukuyomi is Tokoyami's Hero name Destro was mentioned by Gentle Criminal, along with All for One and Oji Harima as legendary villains The endeavor plushie in the ED is what bb Hawks was supposed to be holding in his flashbacks from the second episode, which looked more like a plastic toy because you can't see it very well in the manga panel. Later flashbacks it's much more clearly a plushie- and bb Hawks *always* has it- but those chapters came out after production had started for s5 lol And everyone's reluctance to accept Slide 'n Go is a traitor is pretty hilarious ngl

Yeah a big part of Gentle's character was him being a unique criminal but also foreshadowing this stuff that was coming up in the story. They also had that one guy at the end of season 4 reference it when he was about to strip down to nudity and had that dumbass quirk that makes him stronger the more embarrassed he is. He was talking about being liberated.
