I think it would be more accurate to ask the question if a "shounen battle" anime doesn't have a tournament arc, is it really a shounen. I mean there are so many different types of shounen anime out there that are closer to being straight up slice of life, than the usual stuff you guys watch. One of my favorite shounen is a series called Great Teacher Onizuka. Literally just a guy aiming to be the greatest teacher in the world, and impacting many lives along the way. I believe you guys have already seen the film A Silent Voice. That's also a shounen funny enough haha.

@KingMachi you’re talking bout the thing Todo was attempting to do, right? My thing is it wasn’t clear that all the sorcerers can imbue their physical attacks/body with cursed energy. Certainly not enough to save them from being tossed thru buildings. I can’t tell from Gojo bc he’s too op and can apparently do everything. Everyone else has oddly specific techniques that are showcased way more than cursed energy use. I can’t tell if the power system hasn’t been fully thought out, or if the creator is just trying to chug along until the Halloween plan.

I think thats the biggest plothole in S1 so far: Megumi going through those buildings and surviving. Curse energy does not protect u from physical objects unless those objects have curse energy in themselves.... Thats the only plothole tho in JJK ive seen so far in S1 ofc

Man I love it when the nine-tails forces the issue of his freedom\control from his vessel...oh damn wrong anime again. Random point: I already completed JJK but I still don't understand the power structure/magic system of this show. By its own rules there's no way megumi should've survived being tossed through buildings even with the BS rules of cursed techniques and energy. I get domain expansion is a "bankai" esque final move, but beyond that it's too unclear for me what the rules are for the power structure. Hopefully manga explains it better or an improbable season 2 comes out with better details

Just to clarify guys...Fushiguro didn't talk jutsu Itadori. My understanding of that whole scene was that Fushiguro wanted to fight Sukuna and Itadori knew he would die by fighting him so he switched back to save Fushiguro's life by sacrificing his own. Right when Itadori was switching back, Fushiguro noticed it, stopped and answered Itadori's question "Why did you bother saving me back then?" that he didn't get to answer him in the last episode as his last words to Itadori. Hope this makes sense. 👍
