i can see that but all of that could be explained away. 1. its a long time since those flashbacks 2. madara talks about him self in 3rd person even later on and his hair being different isnt really a big deal. i get why people would come up with theories but if they wanted to make this madara then it couldve worked as well. he even says that he is just a shell of his former self since the battle with the 1st which could explain the physical transformation which in turn could explain the choice of the mask.

This was the part where I started questioning Tobi aswell. I thought it was so weird that Madara in flashback you can see what he looks like but in the present he has a mask. Strike number 2 was that he always referred to himself in 3rd person and strike number 4 was that his hair is completely different.... I remember reading this part of the manga being like “wait a minute... who the fu-... why does he still have a mask on...”

Pain is stronger than Naruto. Yes, Naruto defeated Pain. But, you have to take into account that Naruto fought a tired Pain who was not able to use his most powerful body for a while, and having all the information about his abilities. Also, Pain did not want to kill Naruto, if he wanted, he could have done when he caught him before the intervention of Hinata. Even with all that help, Naruto had to use the Kyubi.

I can’t believe they’re still confused when Karin does nothing during a fight. Like it’s established that she can’t really contribute combat wise. She’s a tracker and medic, she’s purely support for her team. It makes sense to be frustrated when Sakura stands around since we know she can throw down, but not Karin.

You have to remember that before fighting naruto pain had fought the entire village and set off basically a chakra nuke and even with naruto having 2 reserves of sage mode AND intel on all of pain’s abilities he still lost to him and would’ve been captured if not for the 9 tails power which is stronger than pain.

Tobi/Madara said it when he was explaining to Naruto how the sons of the sage of six paths had different views. That lead to a fight between the brothers. Years later the Uchiha and Senju (the brothers’ descendants) continued to be enemies. As this is being explained the anime is showing parallels of the brothers with Madara and Hashirama and it is followed by another with Sasuke and Naruto. I think they’re smart enough to make that connection.

Also, Chris, if you notice Rai meaning Lightning and then notice that the Cloud Village is from the Land of Lightning, then you remember than the Leaf Village is from the Land of Fire and Hokage means "Fire Shadow" (they all have the will of fire), then you can probably deduce that "Kage" means "Shadow" (Like Fugikage Tokoyami from My Hero Academia) and the type of Kage they are probably means what land they're from. Gaara is from the Sand Village in the land of Wind. So Kazekage probably means Wind Shadow. Raikage means Lightning Shadow. Mizukage of the Mist Village is from the Land of Water, means Water Shadow. Tsuchikagi is in the Stone Village from the Land of Earth, Tsuchikage means Earth Shadow.
