Nah, I don’t think they will, new anime watchers only watch anime(s) that are hyped so they don’t know the treasures of old anime(s). Hell If it weren’t for the pandemic they wouldn’t even bother watching anime. Let’s not force them yeah? Either way they’ll complain It’s boring because they don’t like consistent storyline and stronghold of fantasy world. People nowadays only like anime for fightings and animation, not for the plot or storyline. All in all they wouldn’t know the brilliance of Oda. (They complain about 1000 episodes but demands multiple seasons? Make it make sense)

One Piece is an adventure that can be enjoyed without seeing it to a definite conclusion. Experiencing such a well-written story on a journey that spans decades of hard work by Oda is enough to justify an attempt. Even if the Normies only watched to Alabasta, or even less, the enjoyment of seeing them try the show would definitely be worth the possibility of a premature end.

One Piece fans don’t want reactors to watch OP just to catch up, they want them to react to each part of the journey. So it doesn’t matter how long it takes. I’m as interested in Arlong Park as I am in Sabaody reactions.

You do know it will most likely be 1-2 Episodes a week and unlike Naruto there is VERY small amount of Fillers so it'll take them roughly 10 Years to catch up if they do 2 Episodes at a time or 20 Years if they do 1 though I'm thinking they'd do 2 episodes
