I always found it really interesting how Sai compared Naruto's promise to Sakura to a curse mark, because when rewatching the original series, it was Sasuke's curse mark that gave her so much fear and anxiety and ultimately his defection. She was so scared of what it was doing to him and even at points it was like she was afraid of him especially during the chunin exams. To think she might have the same thing to Naruto, causing the same suffering was a real horrible truth. Really loved how they visually showed that realisation on her face too with the redness and running mascara

It's a toxic type of relationship between Naruto and Sasuke, I think that's what Kishimoto was going for. Naruto really sees Sasuke as a real brother so it makes it hard for Naruto to let it all go and treat Sasuke the way everyone else is now. Naruto had no family growing up and when he got them, he wasn't just about to throw them out because in Naruto's mind they saved him from his crushing loneliness and depression as an outcast in his village, so it's believable TO ME that he pleaded for Sasuke's forgiveness. All this doesn't mean Naruto isn't gonna kick Sasuke's ass for all the shit he did and have him pay for his crimes. But it is understandable that people think it's dumb because I kinda do too lol. Also these episodes order messed me up for a minute lol.

She's a bitch because she's always been one, how she's treated Naruto from the start and Sasuke had to point out she's annoying in the early episodes for Naruto OG and she's been a bitch to Ino who stopped her from getting bullied, and because she liked Sasuke she stopped being her friend. She then thinks it's all about her throwing around herself as some rabbit for Naruto to chase.

People ignore that Naruto isn’t obligated to fall for Hinata after what she did. This is the same reason a lot of people unfairly hate on Sakura, since she didn’t return Naruto’s feelings and was labeled a bitch. But Sakura doesn’t HAVE to like Naruto back just because he’s saved her and does a lot for her, and Naruto doesn’t HAVE to like Hinata back. Especially when he’s never even held more than one long conversation with her. He should definitely thank her for what she did (if he even remembers). But it’d be unrealistic for him to suddenly fall for her.

Okay so while I was frustrated too Naruto seemingly ignoring Hinata's confession. In Japanese Hinata says "daisuki" which is the equivalent of saying I love you to a friend not in a relationship way, Which is possibly why Naurto doesn't put it together. But also Kishimoto isn't too good at incorporating love into the story. In the dub Hinata's confession comes off different than in sub. It's a case of lost in translation.

This is why I don’t like Sai anymore. It is not Sakura’s fault Naruto is seeking Sasuke and that Naruto is keeping his promise. Sakura isn’t holding the Sasuke card over his head, she in fact on occasions has told Naruto to just forget it and even earlier in Shippuden said she’ll rescue Sasuke. The fact Naruto is burdened is not Sakura’s fault. Also Sai talking about Naruto’s love for Sakura is just such a shitty thing to do. Sakura not loving Naruto like that is not a bad thing. She has never led him on in her life, she has continuously told him she is not interested and that she likes Sasuke. It’s not her problem that Naruto has feelings for her. Then the curse mark statement is just low.
