Good soldiers follow orders

Ambros

I know you were kind of comparing them to the Commando Droids seen in this episode, but the Dark Troopers from Mando season 2 actually first appeared in a video game released in 1995 called Star Wars: Dark Forces. So if there was any inspiration whatsoever, it would've been the Dark Troopers inspiring the creation of the Commando Droids.

Please ensure that you guys don't watch Bad Batch until you finish the main Clone Wars series. Otherwise your gonna be spoiling your experience for the rest of Clone Wars.

Tomahawk

You guys definitely shouldn't watch Bad Batch until you finish clone wars, because Bad Batch is basically a sequel to Clone Wars, so it is likely it will spoil a lot off things.

Loki

I’ll say it again Rex is in my top 5 of favorite animated characters I love everything about him. Love him even more than some Anime characters.

Luis Rodriguez

Dee Bradley Baker voices the Clones. He is also the voice (sounds) of Appa and Momo from Avatar.

Filoni didn't create the Dark Troopers, they were something the old EU invented as the antagonist in the video game Dark Forces and then made apperances throughout the Star Wars EU. Filoni brought them back into canon. And Rex is an ARC Trooper. Advanced Recon Commando. All clones are modified genetically to be loyal but it limits their thinking. ARCs have no limitiations and are essentially perfect clones of Jango except for the aging. They can think more creatively like a normal person but have all of that training which makes them excellent commandos. Clone Commandos are another type of Clone that are also more free thinking, but they are trained to operate in squads of 4. Clone Commanders like Cody are also more free thinking, I believe just below ARCs, in order to command as they need to think creatively. Standard clones are indoctrinated to follow orders and procedure. Some are very literal and don't think outside the box while others can still do so, but not as well as an ARC, Commander, or Commando. Also the ARCs were all personally trained by Jango Fett at least once. And a lot of Mandalorians were used as trainers for the Commandos, why a lot of them adopted Mandalorian culture. Other mercenaries trained most of the army as you saw with Domino Squad. The Republic Commando novel series, while non canon now, is still a great look at the Clones and how their lives were. If you liked this episode then Republic Commando books are this all the time and a lot darker. And apparently very close to military life as a talked to a vet who said he read the books to help with PTSD and got the idea from another vet who told him he did as well.

Yep, the 501st Legion. The ones Vader took with him to wipe out the Jedi Temple, earning the legion the moniker, 'Vader's Fist'. Also originally a fan group who do cosplay and are usually at any Star Wars event with a lot of need for Stormtroopers.

I usually don't ask for double drops unless we're entering series finale type territory. But Clone Wars reactions just have that feel of a show that needs to be a double drop series. I imagine Clone Wars is one of the more easy shows to edit on this channel, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem i don't think.

We're going to keep mentioning that Commander Cody was in episode 3 until someone acknowledges it. Also the 3 clones lost were Droidbait, Cutup, and Hevy, the sergeant and the other dead clones from this episode were not a part of Domino Squad.

Frankie H

Same. But i think her delivery was a bit off. Micky, and Suraj are usually a bit more smooth it haha

Logan you ask what type of training Rex has gotten over the rest of the clones. Well nothing different really. Except for the fact that he serves under Anakin lol. They've gone into battle together so many times. Rex has to be sharp to be the leader of Anakin's squad or he'll be dead in seconds. In that context it makes a lot of sense why his skills seem far above the rest. Even Commander Cody who technically out ranks Captain Rex isn't on his level imo. I can tell that you guys are already starting to peep that Rex is that dude. Loving these reactions so far!

Idk if u guys know but 501st is anakins squad

cmzaa

Rana, I appreciated the joke!

Daniel R

They've seen the Mandalorian which spoils enough, idk if they've seen Solo though

Daniel R

I don’t know what your guys’ plan is, but I beg that you wait until you are finished with The Clone Wars before watching the Bad Batch. It will be filled with spoilers for the show (I assume).

Jack Maltbie

I know their literally in the name of the show, but when it was coming out I never expected the clones to be a main focus. And more over, I didn’t expect them to literally be my favorite part of the show.

We need them double drops fr
