The idea that there is no growth for Naruto at all left is pure stupidity. Why even write this when you know they're not gonna stop? It's just being a douchebag. Anyways, the parts after here explore what Naruto's evolving though process on his new ideals from the Pain Arc and that's not to mention the backstory left to explore even for Naruto and that's been widely regarded as good. Now whether you like the direction or not is another thing but the idea that Naruto doesn't experience any growth after is really dumb. On top of that, Sasuke is kind of the other half of the whole Naruto story in general and his character arc is only halfway done. If anything, the issue with Naruto is that there's too much story left to explore. Hell, the exploration of the rest of the world doesn't start until the next arc.

The premise of this show was always “Naruto is looked down upon by the entire village, no one accepts him or acknowledges his value and he is going to change that” Here at the end of the Pain arc we get the Catharsis to that premise, Naruto is now the hero of the Konagekerue, he is acknowledged by all the villagers and his peers as a great ninja. But there are still a couple hundred episodes to go and that’s a problem, yes there are some dangling threads to be tied up and yes there are some epic moments of awesomeness and there is the Sauske bs as well. But there is no more growth left for Naruto as a character, the rest of this show is just buying time to sell more Manga and sell more commercial time. All of this could have been handled in 50 episodes or less but instead we have couple hundred left to go, and that’s why I tell people to stop here. Narative Catharsis has been achieved. Our main characters have reached their goals. Naruto is acknowledged, Sakura is useful, Shikamaru is awesome, Hinata has confessed her feelings for Naruto, Sauske is a dick and likes it. There is not enough story left to justify the amount of time you will have to invest in it. Do yourselves a favor and quit while your ahead. tldr: Naruto Shippuden has jumped the shark
