Season 3 was really amazing... But I'm still sore from season 7 and 8... I seriously loved thos two seasons. I don't even think that there was a season I thoroughly disliked.

4 and 5 do a lot to develop the characters and build the world...but at the same time you can literally feel the growing pains as the company tried to turn a web series into an actual show that has to have a schedule, pre and post production, episode by episode direction, and critically a showrunner who isn't trying to run another show at the same time

Volume 1-3 fantastic. Volumes 4-5 very slow. Lots of world building. Setup volumes. Volume 6-8 some worldbuilding and great storytelling

7 and 8 are such a close companion that its hard to separate and 6 was just so well put together. 3 has the second best last quarter (vol 8's last quarter is a RIDE) and its a great season but it takes 6 episodes to get to the point of the season.

I honestly can’t choose between 3 and 6-8. 3 is near perfection aside from the animation, 6 I think was when the show really found its footing again and narrative wise began taking off more. 7-8 are back to back great volumes. Cannot wait to see how you guys like these next volumes.

The votes make sense with season 3 being kind of the last one Monty was a big part of. I think the team found a new footing after they reorganized. I mean how hard would it be to direct an IP after the main driving force behind it is gone out of nowhere? Team RWBY has done an amazing job carrying on the torch.

V 3 hat a great middle and end but a the beginning could have been better except for when qrow showed up that was awesome all the other season they was alright well hated V4, and hated a certain part of V6 but overall they was alright

It looks the FNDM consensus is some combination of 8,7,6,& 3 in their top 4 which I wholeheartedly endorse. Rank those how you will but that definitely is the current Rushmore.

I'd say : 7,8,3,6,4,2,1,5. The thing is after Vol 3, 4 was a different pipeline and some people gave it hate because they were just coming off 3 thinking it was too slow, when the show NEEDED that pace to settle things down again. 5 is not great and there are behind the scene reasons for that, namely a Producer who was doing doubious things in the background and all shows under his supervision suffered from it. The first half of 6 is GANGBUSTERS it calms down and doesn't have a great "finale", the A plot really should have been the B plot and vice versa so it goes a little lower for me. 7 is damn near perfect . 8 doesn't have the same "umpf" with its action set pieces that I'll give the benefit of the doubt because of covid, that said the drama MORE than makes up for it and still makes it top tier, not 7 good, which is why its SLIGHTLY lower in my ranking but still really good.

8, 7, 3, 5, 6, 2, 1, 4 My personal best to "worst" (and the worst isn't bad just a little bit of a slower pace than my liking). 6 has one of the best fights and a great episode of exposition that answers a bunch of questions, 5 has my favorite overall story arc, 8 and 7 are a spectacle top to bottom and super fun And yea, it's crazy the consistent improvement the CRWBY showcase season over season...from 1 man's vision to a small crew getting it done to now a huge team that crushesss it year in and year out...super neat to watch that transformation over time

Season 8 just took my new top favorite season. Season 2 has long been my personal favorite. I felt like it's fights, pacing, plot, character development and growth all seemed to be in perfect balance in season 2. But season 8 was really good. Like... really good

I think in general RWBY has gotten better as its gone on. It has its dips for sure (do yourselves a favour and watch as much of volume 5 in one sitting as you can, the pacing of that volume in particular lends itself to being watched straight through if possible) but I think its largely gotten better with each season

Season 3 was imo the pinnacle of RWBY. Every damn episode was exciting, well paced, written, and with a memorable sound track for each scene. It always ended leaving you wanting for more. In comparison, it's like season 4 of Game of Thrones.

Season 4 & 5 definitely feel like set up seasons, but from 6 onwards the story gets more and more interesting! It has its flaws, but it’s a fun show to watch!

I feel like if volume 4 and 5 were combined in to one volume they’d be much better

Every season from here is pretty spectacular but 7 and 8 just feel like the most elevated and cohesive parts of the story. 6 starts really strong and 3 has a special place in my heart for giving me depression 🙂
