2022-01-09 23:11:04 +0000 UTCI was in a 3rd party position to a conversation between Kim and a RWBYtuber where they specifically talked about how she animated a certain impactful segment of the last scene in that showreel. Echoing Andrew, a team lead in any group doesn't necessarily mean they do the brunt of the labor, just that they are responsible for delegating, reviewing, and approving the work. Monty may have done most of the labor for much of what he was around for, but different leads are going to divide the work up differently.

2021-02-10 01:03:05 +0000 UTCYou’re right that Kim was promoted during volume 5 I should clarify that I wasn’t saying Shane didn’t do a lot (as one of the lead animators, he had to animate his scenes and oversee the work of the other animators) I just meant that Kim, along with the other series animators listed in the volume 3 credits, did more than you think For an example, I recommend checking out this showreel that Dillon Gu put on YouTube; if you haven’t seen it already https://youtu.be/7nnKmljEx7o It showcases the specific shots he animated/worked on for volume 3 (my personal favourite is the Qrow and RWBY scene in chapter 3)

2021-02-08 03:29:54 +0000 UTCRespectfully I disagree because in the credits of volume 3 he was 1 of the lead animators and I might be wrong but I’m sure Kim wasn’t promoted until between volumes 5 and 6, and by helping Dillon I think you mean help with special effects because that’s what Dillon mostly did throughout volume 3

2021-02-06 08:57:42 +0000 UTCI wouldn’t say most of it was animated by Shane, The bits we know he specifically had a hand in animating are the RWBY vs ABRN fight in chapter 1 as well as, without spoiling it, the fight in chapter 6 as well as helping Dillon Gu and Kim Newman complete the fight in Chapter 12 I’m sure he did other bits and pieces in the volume but he was just a part of the larger animation team for volume 3

So “flower power” (Nora and Ren). “Argos” (is Jaun and Pyrrha) “there last names together” and in season two when team rwby fought the robot they said like “checkmate” Weiss and Blake( black and white) Bumblebee (Yang and Blake) White rose ( Ruby and Weiss) and lady bug (Ruby and Blake)

2021-02-05 17:33:14 +0000 UTCFun fact that’s only explained in the RWBY books: The reason why Neptune is afraid of water is because he unlocked his semblance Hydrokinesis at a young age and nearly drowned his brother with it. His brother doesn’t hold anything against Neptune since it was an accident but the event still traumatized Neptune and he refuses to put himself in such a potential situation again.
