TBH these episodes and this team for sure fell really flat for me, I just never felt the chemistry between the team, but that in largely has to do with Sasuke, I just never felt that he had chemistry with anyone really, especially not with Naruto, and honestly I always felt that the manga/anime trying to tell me about this "unbreakable bond" between them two was so forced to me, it just fell flat mainly because of Sasuke's nonchalant approach to everything in his life I just couldn't FEEL ANYTHING for them, to me Kakashi and Guy's relationship is what the writer tried to make Naruto and Sasuke, but it actually works with Kakashi and Guy, the only relationship of Sasuke's that I felt anything for was Sasuke/Itachi, because even though it was hatred, Itachi was the only one that could actually pull emotion out of Sasuke.

Yes it did. Sasuke did visit the Naruto Bridge to get Zabuza's Sword for Suigetsu. It's just unlike the anime, it really was still at Zabuza's grave in the manga.

Even after leaving the village and considered as a rogue ninja we would assume that Sasuke is a bad person. Watching these episodes you can see that he's not a bad person. He doesn't kill people. Creates a team of his own, freed all the Orochimaru prisoners and his only goal is to kill Itachi. He's still got his morals intact after all the shit he's been through.
