2020-10-26 16:56:59 +0000 UTCIt is disheartening to hear Thorfinn be so unconcerned with his family but at the same time it makes sense if you consider that at ANY point in the last 11 years he could have left and returned home. Askellad would never have tried to stop him or even look for him. Pat laid out the best reason for why he might not want to. I never really thought about that angle but think he's just supposed to be that revenge craved and tunnel vision on that goal leaves no room for anything else. Ironically It's actually quite possible that Askellad would have died by now if Thorfinn wasn't there lol

Do you remember the episode where Thorkell asked Thorfinn what exactly did he learn from Thors. Thorfinn didn't have an answer for him, and Thorkell laughed at the fact that he didn't even know a damn thing about the man who gave him life. Thorfinn learned almost everything he knows from Askladd. That's the tragedy of it all. You gotta think beyond all that face value ish. You don't have to be a positive influence in someone's life to be their father figure lol. Another great post episode discussion guys!!!
