2020-10-22 19:38:41 +0000 UTCThe whole point of having Ray kill his colleagues was to avoid suspicion. If all of the agents in Japan die- they can’t narrow it down to just who Ray followed. They’d have to look into the others too. Light IS smart, he doesn’t just think he is.

2020-10-22 18:30:17 +0000 UTCI'm i the only one not shocked that light was going to kill innocents that oppose him, he directly states that early on so not much of a 360 and it makes sense with his twisted sense of justice especially now that he sees how effective his method of judgment really is in reducing crime by astounding levels.

2020-10-22 18:04:59 +0000 UTCIt is easy to assume the story is about corruption of a guy who slowly crossing the line and become someone else, especially at the beginning of the show. However, whether Light has changed or not after picking up the death note is unarguable; but whether this is a story about corruption is debatable. So keep that in mind until the end of the story, and then think about it if he is a complete person between episode two and the finale, or he is roughly the same. Does he keep his own code, or does he go crazier and becoming something else.

It can be pretty hard to hear what is being said on the show, especially when the normies are talking, so having subtitles helps with being able to follow along. I've seen the show about 8 years ago so right now I have no idea what's happening most of the time because of no subs..
