I think the important thing to consider with the writing is that this show reads like one long satire - think about all the dark comedic moments. The characters are as unrealistic as the characters on, say, Parks & Rec or The Office, except it's a twisted crime drama spoofing spoofing on romance shows and movies.

I love these YOU reactions. They are so funny and the thoughts you guys share on Joe and his choices and the storyline I love it. I know im gonna get attacked by anime fans for this one comment but I just feel like this channel is mostly anime which is your choice ofc normies but like sometimes I wish there were more choices of live action reactions since like the 100 is ending. I have been supporting you guys since s7 of the walking dead and I never regret it but I just hope to see more live action shows. Like I really enjoy your conversations and perspectives on characters with a dark history or complicated issues or addiction issues and live action actors with their face expressions etc and speaking of a live action show I feel like you guys would really enjoy euphoria. It's so different and the camera angels and choice of color has so much meaning in the show and the characters are so dark and some are innocent with a traumatic past and the way the acting is and how realistic it feels and the problems that are shown. I really really hope to see you guys react to it. Zendaya is the main lead and she just won a Emmy for her role in Euphoria.

I'm glad y'all are enjoying the show. I think the writers add in all the "mansplaining" "toxic masculinity" stuff as a joke for the viewers, but at the same time it's also poking fun because there are genuinely people out there that say that (not just that but any trendy woke term). Obviously, most people aren't like that but that there are absolutely a small number of people that are and I think the show is making fun of those people. It's nice to have that over-the-top, on-the-nose humor to distract from the dark stuff going on. Like "yeah he's a stalker and murderer, but oh wait, now he has to figure out how to use social media from teenager" lol

In defense of Delilah: i truly dont think she's like that bc the writers dont like her or "girls like her"--she's like that bc of her shitty history with guys. She's not that unrealistic in my opinion. It seems more like she feels the need to be hyper defensive when it comes to men. Her snapping about mansplaining and things like that is more of a shield than a representation of feminist women

pat is so funny lmaoo, i usually only follow the shows u watch if i already seen them, but You was the first one i picked up because i kinda had some spare time, even tho it's kind of a mediocre show in terms of writing, it's very entertaining to watch
