This episode sorta reminds me of Redwall season 2 where the main plot was about how all the kids went missing and were added to a collection of child slaves. I mean I guess I remember a lot of cartoons around that time showed kids being kidnapped and turned into slaves. It was probably a good time to do it to when cartoons were still partially cheesy to balance out the dark concept. Now days it’d be either too comedic and therefore dismissive, or it’d be too serious and traumatizing to watch maybe.
