Huh. Odd that they didn't know the show was pronounced "Ruby". I thought it was obvious. "Are DoubleYou Bee Why" just doesn't roll off the tongue well at all. And the letters represent Red, White, Black, Yellow, in which case the characters' names all start with the same letter as their color. And the main character's name is Ruby. So with the whole clever pun thing going on, you would think RWBY was a pun for "Ruby" anyways. I wonder if there are others who didn't know how to pronounce it. But it's definitely pronounced "Ruby".

Even though the animation does get better, the lost of Monty (the OG creator and animator) made the fight sequence and story a bit lack luster. Fortunately, the latest season showing some promise.\

I'm so excited you guys are reacting to this! Maybe you guys will start to notice but all of the RWBY characters are based on other characters from other stories or fairy tales, etc. Like the Little Red Riding Hood, Clockwork Orange and Wizard of Oz references.

Be prepared there is a lot of references to other shows mainly Wizard of oz

Yeah that is what I said. I said it to kind of be funny but also figured us nodding in agreement is better than constantly saying 'can't hear you please unmute.' We have fixed the audio issues since then though and we shouldn't have problems going forward.

Is it just me or does it seem at around 21:15 Suraj turns to Mikey and tells him to pretend that he can here what the others are saying so it looks good for the reaction. I know the troubles with covid and understand the hardships you guys have, but it bothered me a little.

If this isn't the truth, I don't know what is. I have my own criticisms with RWBY, moreso the first two seasons than anything, but its wild that this series gets overly criticized for things that I've seen people let other shows get away with. So I just second the notion -- RWBY is a great show!

And heads up, this show is an easy target for "critics" so take any negativity you see with a grain of salt. About 95% of the vocal "critics" are just angry people with loud personal opinions, and not actual criticism.

@TheNormies, There are actual RWBY video games. RWBY: Grimm Eclipse is a co-op hack-and-slash, and BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle has several RWBY characters as fighters in a Fighting Game.

Hey guys, you are in for a ride. Like Collin said, the first season seems very cut up sometimes, so watch a few episodes together, so you get the continuity. At first they had a very small team, so the episodes are shorter in the beginning. And in between these episodes there are some, which explain the world these characters live in. These (very short) episodes are called "The World of Remnant". It is VERY IMPORTANT, that you watch these as well, to understand this world. These explanatory episodes in season 1 are called "Dust", "Kingdoms", "Grimm" and "Aura". There will be more of these episodes in later seasons, but we´ll get to that. You can put them all in one reaction, because they are really short. And like you already noticed, the score for the whole show is amazing! So glad you are reacting to RWBY Stay safe and i see you in the next one.

We could go on to note that for Volume 1, everyone working on the show had other projects that took precedence, Monty included, so for much of the volume they made and released half an episode at a time.

So many new shows on the channel 😂 i can't keep up. At the moment I'm already banging through B:TAS and Re:Zero to prepare for those reactions. I'm gonna try and see if i can stick to a 1 volume a week routine for RWBY though lol. Good thing they're short.

Most major characters, and a large number of minor characters have some inspiration from fairy tale, folklore, mythology and in a rare case or two history embedded in their attributes. Some characters even draw from two sources. Some are easy to figure out like Glynda the Good Witch and Little Red Riding Hood, others can be tricky.

I'm pretty sure watching them only one at a time (until they start getting consistently longer a bit down the line) will just leave you and the audience annoyed at how short they are.
