There's only 50 more chapters the anime didn't cover. No way they make 45 episodes from that unless they have One Piece pacing. They can get a good 20-25 I think.

You'll see why soon. But HxH2011 is a complete story arc. How it ended is perfectly fine imo. Yes, we all hope Togashi can finish the manga and the rest is animated. But I'm perfectly satisfied with this masterpiece of an anime. A good 148 episodes of top notch animation and story.

(NOT SO) FUN FACT: When Hisoka asked if he could kill Killua the words he used were more ambiguous like saying "Can I do Killua?" this with the hand sign he was making (used to imply sex) were what made Illumi extra pissed. Which if course he did on purpose to let Killua know they were there, but just more weirdness from everyone's favorite creepy clown magician.

I feel Alluka is obvious it's just the subs that make it vague for non-Japanese speakers. Killua clearly refers to Alluka as a girl. Everyone else doesn't. Kalluto is also always referred to by male pronouns and uses male phrases unlike Alluka. Alluka is only a trap to those who over complicate things.

I think the fact that no one in the show acknowledges is the main reason for that. People were confused about that when the manga chapters were coming out; it's a very strange writing choice on Togashi's part.

Togashi has never once commented on Alluka's gender. same with Pitou. we can take it as her being trans , as people take Pitou as being male, but there's also the idea that they refer to her as a boy because they dont want to acknowledge her as their daughter. We know the mother wanted a daughter so bad that she forced one of the brothers to dress as a girl, it would make sense that she doesn't want a monster as her daughter so they refer to her as a boy and a thing and not because they're transphobic.

Also, regarding your discussion of illumi going berserk over the thought of killua dying.. its exactly face value, its kinda hard to comprehend but illumi has literally no malice in him towards killua. Just like his entire family, he sees killua as the ‘prodigious assassin’ who will take over for silva eventually. In fact him putting needles in kill’s head was to (in his own evil way) guarantee killua would live and become ruthless (why silva agreed to it most likely even tho silva has a soft spot for killua) The Zoldyk family’s intricacies are absolute S tier. I can’t stan togashi enough :)

Togashi needs to give the art creator of the dope and was up and coming manga, 'Act Age' a chance. Since her series got canceled due to the other creator of the show, being stupid asf. Togashi should hook her up with doing the art for HxH, and shell have a job again and Togashi can focus on the story. Just like Act Age expect Togashi isnt a pedo lol
