Don't know if you guys will see this, but just to let you know, even though vikings had a pretty "brutal" religion, the reputation you guys have of their culture and their "extreme savegry" is wrong (i don't blame you for it or anything, it's a pretty common misconception because most historical sources about them are from the invaded countries perspective, which obviusly wanted to paint them as brutal pegans). A viking is just a word for "raiding" or "raider" and they were not worse than any other army or raiders of any religion or place at that point in history. They were just really good at it. Even though their religion was widespread throughout scandinavia, Finland, Iceland and northen Germany, most of the population of these part (Like 70-80%) would be normal farmers just minding their own land, like most christian, islamic, Bhudist, taoist etc. places. "vikings" also went on trips to trade, not pillage, but that also get's forgotten in todays pop-culture. Not saying that they weren't "bad guys" by todays standarts, but for the time they were very "normal bad guys", they just didn't write down alot about it, therefore they get the "foreign savages" wrap, because most sources are from the perspective of counties or religions that was invaded/raided. There are a plethora of good youtube videos on the subject (or actual historical articels) if you are interested. Am curently a University student and reading about just this, so thought i could help clear up some misunderstandings. Love the reactions guys, keep up the good work <3. Sorry for bad english BTW, english is my third language so there might be some gramatical errors in there (am a Dane myself)

I think they can discover and analyse by themselves and know if there is a villain or not. There is no need to give them clues or tell them “there is no villain” (they will believe us since we all finished the show already) I mean, that may influence them.

Ok, first off. Mickey was right, Askeladd’s plan is to deliver Canute BACK to the King so Sweyn can be in debt to him and his men. There is no other party he’s selling him to, he just wants the rescue credit. And secondly, I think you’re overestimating how danish royalty fights. Although many were warriors, more often than not they have men to fight for them. It’s very rare to have a legitimate warrior-king, and Canute’s no different. Because as you’ll soon see, he DEFINITELY shouldn’t be here.
