Hey giys I just want to clarify something Navi was talking about in this discussion, don’t worry no spoilers. She mentioned how Sasuke said naruto never had family so he didn’t have bonds. That’s not actually what he said to naruto during their fight at the end of part one of the series. What he did say was that naruto never had a family to begin with, so he doesn’t understand the pain or sorrow of losing them. Naruto and sasuke both connected because they didn’t have families (Sasuke roasted Sakura in like episode 3 about her not understanding the loneliness of not having a family). The difference between naruto and Sasuke’s circumstances is that sasuke grew up with a mother and father and had that taken away from him. So what he was saying during that fight is that naruto doesn’t understand what it feels like to lose his family. Naruto then says that if sasuke leaves the village that would make him feel the same way that sasuke does. Which is why he pursues him tirelessly trying to bring him back. Hope that clarifies things a little bit, I’m sure you all understood these points but with the length of this series its easy to lose details here and there the first time you watch it. Keep up the good work.

100% agreed, 2 eps a week is tough tho. Wish they could do more, wont get to the god arcs for years at this rate.

Thank god this arc is over. It was boring to the point of me actually considering skipping it and reading what happened. Super hype for the next arc though! It’s probably my favorite arc in the whole series and we get to see the goat himself Shikamaru in the spotlight. Congrats on getting through arguably the worst arc in the series!

NORMIES!!!! READ!! lol sorry, didn't mean to yell hahaha but I have seen you guys talk about this on numerous reactions, and i have tried to correct it in comments but must not get read. I'll try again ;) Naruto being the jinchuriki isn't common knowledge to the entire village. The people who fought against it 15 years ago, know that it was sealed within him, but that was it. If you remember in the first episode of Naruto, the 3rd hokage made a rule that it was forbidden to talk about it. So none of Naruto's classmates knew he had the 9 tails inside of him, but their parents knew, and some of them would do terrible shit like tell their kids not to socialize with him. If you watch in the first episode, there's a couple of woman who look on at naruto on the swing and are like "thank goodness he didn't become a ninja" and one starts to mention the fox and the other silences her. The only thing that really got passed down to Naruto's generation is their hatred/fear of whats inside of him, but not the facts of what actually it was... so the kids were basically told to leave Naruto alone and not hang out with him.
