It's definitely not nature magic. That's what the Primal magic is. And Callum has proven that it isn't necessarily human magic. Dark Magic fits because it corrupts the users, kind of like the Dark Side of the Force. The show isn't even subtle about that. The hunting metaphors on this thread are on point, but the point the show is making is that Dark Magic upsets the balance of nature, so maybe a better metaphor (that even The Normies used on a review) is the use of Dark Magic is similar to using fossil fuels. For me, that works better. And it's likely that the use of Dark Magic has caused the extinction of a number of magical species.

I never really got why all the viewers are so opposed to dark magic immediately. We kill animals every day for meat and fur which we don't really need, meanwhile dark magic is actually healing and feeding people. Those deer were very cute but I would absolutely kill one to give someone the ability to walk again

Callum had a connection to sky cause it was the magic he learned in the first season. He couldn't do it after breaking the storm primal stone he used in order to hatch Zym. Humans are told they have no connection to primal arcanums, but clearly callum showed that to be false since he was able to connect to sky.

i just accepted that the king is dead so i never thought "wait ezren can talk to him in bird form and they can save their father AND get rid of viren cause this proves his treason against the crown". good job guys

Ya.. always found Ezran's choice to be completely stupid considering how useful he is and how they are already halfway to their goal. Just feels more like a intentionally dumb narrative choice just to make the following shitstorm possible which is always bad writing

In case you didn't know, they just announced that Netflix has committed to doing the full saga (seasons 4 through 7, a book per kind of magic) as well as a tabletop game in the world they've built. AND it just won the Emmy for Children's Programming a few days ago, too! Also this show is pretty open with the murder; Viren turned one guard to ash and another into shattered chunks of person!
