Correction: Mike didn't go there to pick a fight, he went there to die. I know that's hard to imagine as we know he's alive in Breaking Bad, but Mike has been self-hating since what happened to his son. The fact he killed his friend Werner brought that pain back to the surface. After this episode I was wondering how he could ever go back to Gus, but the way it plays out makes a lot of sense when you consider Mike's personality.

The teaser in beginning of the episode, happened after the lunch with Howard.

I think Howard means what he says. Everything we've been given has shown that Howard has always liked and respect Jimmy, and now he's been in therapy for over a year, reflecting on his life and working through his problems. I think he genuinely wants to right this wrong. That being said, because he rolled over for Chuck, Jimmy was poor and broke and living in the back of a nail salon, so it's no wonder he finds it too little too late.

I think Howard only wants Jimmy now because he wants the McGill name to make his firm more legit. I don't get the feeling he actually cares about Jimmy at all and honestly, it's too little too late. the damage is done. sure, what Jimmy did was childish but that's in Jimmy's character and doesn't surprise me. also, that Namaste thing seems like performative bullshit to me. just my 2 cents.

Maybe Gus is using Lyle to establish an alibi, but I see the scene more as a view into Gus' psyche at the moment. Lyle scrubbing ferociously is a manifestation of Gus' extreme frustration and apprehension, hence the quick cuts back and forth.
