So since Octavia lived like 6 years in the blink of an eye, does that mean she's the older sister now.

Eddy Kubus

Beta is farther away from all the other planets. At least that’s what I got because Becca mentioned that beta was close to a black hole which makes the time dilation so different and much faster than the other planets.

it was 10 years btw not 6

I love this episode so much. It finally made me care about Octavia again the same way I did before season 5. Hope is my fav new character in a while, she's great. And her, Echo and Grabriel's dynamic is a lot of fun. But, as for the season in general, I think i'm in the minority who is not enjoying it that much. I get bored watching some episodes now, which has never happened to me before with this show. Part of it is definitely that it focuses too much on non main characters, who I may like, but I really don't care about that much. And there's a lot of world building, but it still feels like nothing new is happening. Either way I know most people enjoy it, so whatever. I'll just hope the second half is better.

Lol not really. It was bang on average and cringy. They took a different creative direction from season 2 onwards and it was much much better.

Theyll pay attention to this more than their anime lolol wooo

The 100 was good in season 1 y’all were just too close minded to notice!!! :)

To be honest, I found the grounder side of the story in the beginning of the show way more interesting and so cool. I think that storyline has more potential to have a whole show to itself than eligius and the planets

Dioza couldn’t be dead giving birth, remember hope said “he has my mom” before stabbing octavia

I get what you mean. Clarke and Bellamy are my favorite part of the show. But I say have some faith in the story. They are the leads but this is truly more of an ensemble cast. The other characters need to have their stories wrapped up and get their screentime. I suspect the second half of the season will heavily focus on Bellamy & Clarke. I think the writers know what they are doing. They know the leads are missed, this feels intentional. I feel like that means they will get some big episodes solely focused on them. And since they are the leads, those episodes will be towards the end because they are the key to everything.

I appreciate Echo, but it was a breath of fresh air to have someone assertive like Hope calling her out and explaining how she doesn't necessarily know everything. Everyone needs to get checked once in a while😊And Echo never really faced consequences for her actions. The worse that ever happened to her was Roan banishing her which actually led to her survival. Plus, Bellmay being mad at her for blowing up Gina & almost killing Octavia..but we all know how that turned out.

A De La Torre

It has so much heart and I appreciate that we got to quiet down for a moment to take in characters emotions♥️

I think that if you love this show mainly for plot you will love this season but if you are here for the characters, you may be disappointed by this season. This season is more like a setup for the new whole different story, but I must be honest, it doesn´t work for me as a final season. It doesn´t focus on the main characters that much, but I really hope that you will enjoy it and that will work for you. And yes, you mentioned Bob being absent, we still don´t know what exactly happened, there was some behind the scene drama between Bob and showrunner and also Eliza had a miscarriage in that time they were shooting and Bob was struggling with his mental health, so I think I can say (it is not a spoiler) that Clarke is also not that present as we were used to in the previous seasons. It was a difficult time for both actors. So for people who love Bellamy and Clarke this season can be rough. They are not the main characters this season.

So, from how I understood it, Planet Beta was just at a closer & different angle to the "Jupiter" planet, that's why the rings were so huge compared to Alpha's view. Am I wrong? Was Beta actually the "Jupiter" planet?

The shows not exactly ending, there's going to be a prequel spin off show coming out, with different characters however. Episode 8, Anaconda, of this season is going to focus on what the spin off show is going to be about.

Jason Bronson

Also, anyone else low-key grumpy that the spinoff series is about the grounders and not Eligius/planet discovering? I bet it all ties together - I'm not caught up - but I feel like this world is far more enjoyable than the grounder world.

I love Hope's character, I actually found Echo the more annoying during this episode. And it was cool finding out where Octavia went, the time dilation, etc. I wish there was a Season 8 continuing this storyline, it's so awesome 😭😭😭 This episode really reminded me of "A Day in the Life" from the Magicians (although the Magicians episode was way superior #TheyDidMyQueliotDirty)

Yeah I know exactly what episode he was talking about as well

All the dots that have been getting set up since the beginning of the show will be connected very soon. I hope you all have been paying attention during past seasons haha.

Kamina 1

Eligius III was the one that Raven didn't get to figure it out what it was about but Monty did. It was a mission to colonize other planets searching for oil because humans "sucked the oil" from the Earth (solar panels on Floukru, Luna's people, oil rig can be explained by this). Eligius I, II, and IV was a way of the government got to punish the "terrorists" against their fascist politics (Diyoza talked about it in season 5) and after the Battle of San Francisco (the one Diyoza was present and Shaw saw as a kid) it was a way of punishing them as well. Eligius III was sent to colonize five planets (as said before on season 5), so it wasn't just about punishing; it was also to explore and to researches (like Russel, Josephine, and Gabriel when they first came to Alpha). Also, what I write above implies that Eligius were a part of the government. A mistake. It wasn't but it was a part of the Asteroid Mining Penal Colony system implied by the government. Maybe it was involved in politics. And Eligius IV was at Proxima 6 asteroid when they lost contact and the population there got sick because of Hythylodium (what they were searching and mining for). It was when Diyoza took over the ship and pre-season 5.

Did we all just gloss over that Chris watches the Magicians. Would have loved for that to have become a show they reacted too.

Oh and by lack of YouTube: INTRO SINGING HELL YEAAAAAAHHHHH CRAZYNESS AND EVERYTHING WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (been doing this comment for so long now, I can't stop anymore)

I was planning to wait with every episode so I could watch in sync with you guys, but after episode two I just couldn't stop watching. What a great season so far.

Haha y’all got the way the planets work wrong my friends. Y’all will soon find out on ep 5 how they really work. Octavia wasn’t there for 6 she was there for 10 plus the time she spent somewhere else. Can’t tell ya where tho. I’ll just say she was gone longer than 10 years but you’ll be shocked at how she gets back and how hope came back. Ep 5 is when it all connects. Can’t tell you anything else lol episode 8 is the backstory of earth when the bombs dropped. Can’t tell ya more on that either 😂😂 great episode and season so far. Enjoy

Eligus 4 was the prisoners, right?. Eligus 3 dropped off teams on different planets, i believe

Yasmine mixon

"It's like a new show" yep pretty much...

Monica C

One of my favourite episodes of the whole show.
