I love how this arc makes you feel about "lesser" characters like Shikamaru and Choji. It gives you a new perspective you don't think of before, especially when it's around traits that are just gags for laughs throughout the show. Choji is a badass.

In regards to the flashback episodes they won’t really start until somewhere around episode 125ish but u should pay close attention to them because they add in new information not yet revealed to u guys that’s kinda important

Yeah that's because Shonen Jump didn't want the anime to get caught up to the manga so they started having all these flashback fillers in the middle of important canon episodes, which was annoying. Also Masashi Kishimoto was working up to 21 hours a day on the manga so he really couldn't work on it any faster. Bless him.

Leme just say... you haven't gotten to the flashback episodes that people are warning you about. There may be flashbacks in this episode, but we're talking about episodes that are literally just reruns of previous episodes. Hell, unless I imagined it, there's a Shippuden episode that's a straight up OG Naruto episode disguised as a flashback.

Love how they didn't do some kind of ass pull with that plan. You could straight up see Shikimaru looking around at the holes Kiba was making. Not gonna name any names, but some anime have a character just seemingly win for no reason and say it was "according to plan." This show can let you figure out the plan BEFORE the plan comes to fruition.

Shikamaru is the best character of the Konoha 12, even if he's not the strongest in terms of direct power. Being the smartest and having your successes come mostly via tactics and strategy is always more impressive than power alone, in my opinion!

You guys better get used to split comment section and half of one side yelling at you for your opinion, because with later story arcs and character development there are going to be a lot of people arguing over character motivations or decisions make sense, are stupid, or if certain characters are well written or terribly written.
