Season 2 is lit. The story opens up in so many different directions. Love the reactions. Dufrane did it at that moment because they could have just left and gotten away with no fight but also no gold since they passed as a Spanish ship. Also sadly the actor playing dufrane died before s2 so they replaced him with a different actor. Got me confused at first. Keep up the reactions.

Weirded me out when Marketa yelled Fuck Flint and that she was in Vayne's camp all the way when Vayne's rape tent was the worst thing I had seen that whole season, and something I still find tough to stomach. It's something that I thought would have really bothered Marketa too.

I know it sucks, but come on people, Flint had obvious reasons to kill Gates.

Flint killed Gates because he betrayed him. If Gates had walked out that door, then his life was over, either at the hands of the crew or due to Gates deciding his fate and secreting him away. From Flints point of view it was a straight up betrayal.

I think you guys have misinterpreted Flints passed successes. He is the most successful captain on the island, but hunting the Irca has taken ages, so his crew are beginning to lose faith. He hasn't shit the bed.

despite the firepower of the Man O'War... it wouldn't be a great pirate ship. To pay for the ammunition, crew, repairs, etc... all it takes to run a ship would be massive for a pirate. Not to mention those ships are incredibly slow and couldn't chase down any prey. Pirates stuck to smaller faster ships for raiding and pirating. A massive ship like this is only used by nations for battles against other ships like it. They are basically built only for set battles.

While I definitely disliked Flint after this my first time through, I also could not stand Vane and I'll never get how so many people like him at this point. The actor is great don't get me wrong, but Vane is pretty despicable. But then again, Max is also one of my favorites, and apparently a lot of people don't feel the same way, so idk. Definitely looking forward to the season two reactions!

Gates did threaten flint straight to his face and basically said I’m taking away everything you built and worked for, for 10 years he was gonna take away his ship and captaincy at that point it’s like what did you expect to happen even though I liked Gates personally I don’t think he thought that threw very well
