No, Tsunade would've been able to easily fix broken bones. The reason he's in the hospital is because after using the Hidden Lotus, his bones and muscles were toast and then Gaara crushed his right side adding insult to injury. Mostly it's because of the Eigth Inner Gates

There's 720 episodes total (canon + filler). 220 in Naruto and 500 in Shippuden. You only have around 31canon episodes left to finish Naruto and start Shippuden.

Don't misunderstand, you can use the gates and be fine (just not the eight, you'll die) The problem with Rock Lee is not that he used the fifth gate, it's the fact that Gaara crushed his bones. The downside from using the gates is that you have to finish your enemy off. If you don't you are useless for several minutes. It's a "ultimate move" if you will. Dangerous for the caster and the enemy.

Reminder that Lee's injuries wasn't from opening the gates. I'm 99% sure his injuries were from Gaara quite literally crushed his limbs like bugs. His bones were practically dust. I'm surprised he didn't have a jelly arm and jelly leg after that fight.
