It's literally not "1 or 2 episodes", it's 2 episodes at least every time. Also, the pace that they progress through this series is/was actually the second quickest pace for all series that were on their docket at the time of when they began Naruto, with Bojack Horseman only being 1 or 2 weeks shorter in terms of time of completion. You can go back and do the math if you want, but I already have because of how much fucking crying and whining was in the comments.

I know you guys are skipping the filler episodes, which is totally fine! But in your free time, you should definitely watch episodes 102-106. It's a filler arc but it's one of the only filler arcs that left an impression on me since I was a kid and it's one of my favorites! I think you'll enjoy it! :D Love the reactions guys! There are 3 "Sannin". In Japanese: "San" = three "Nin" works 2 ways here. When counting in japanese the suffix always specifies the object being quantified. "Nin" text book refers to "people" however in the case of Naruto works as an abbreviation for "Ninja" (but I'm not sure if that's intentional or not). When the term in the show thrown around as "Legendary Sannin" it is most likely translated as Legendary 3 "people" / "ninja" or even just leave it as an understood meaning as simply "legendary 3".

Tsunade is actually the weakest one of the three, she's only superior in medical Jutsu and physical strength.

The elders nominate a candidate, and the jonin vote to confirm or deny that candidate. If the candidate is denied, the elders choose someone else. It's basically how America chooses Supreme Court Justices, with the president selecting a person, and congress saying yes or no.

Just wanted to make a note for the 5 of you since you're about to enter your first big skip of filler episodes: The anime creators tried to make the fillers fit in with the actual story, so they changed a few scenes in the canon timeline to make it seem as if the fillers were part of the original continuity. That being said, you're going to be a bit confused when you make your first real skip, as they mention things that were only in the filler. Don't worry about it too much!

Nah Oro just needs Tsuna alive so she can heal him. I don't think Oro really has any capacity for empathy. He just refers to them as old friends bc they actually do have a lot of history with each other and so he acknowledges that, but that doesn't stop him from being able to remove them if they get in the way of his goals. Also Kabuto is a grade A prick lmfao. Also there's some form of election process for hokage where the Jonin in the village have some say in who becomes Hokage, but the village elder's are also highly respected so they have a lot of influence in the process. Which is why they chose Jiraiya and then agreed that if not him then Tsuna.

3 things....1. Here comes the reason why Tsunade is really powerful and of the Sannin level, her Miyotic regeneration jutsu makes her almost immortal in a one on one battle ! Also mastery of all medical ninjutsu and super strenght, and she is a war veteran...She really is the best choice for the leaf at that time ! 2. There is a reason why she is called Slug Princess Tsunade ! Also it fits with the theme of healing ! 3. In the manga, Kabuto's guts are showing if i remember well, making his healing even more impressive, but also explaining why he collapse like that ! It's hard to heal internal damage and the rasengan do both external and internal damage, the ultimate chakra shape manipulation !! Love the reactions guys !
