When first watching this I missed so much epic stuff due to me feeling annoyed at what felt like a sudden change in direction during such an important arc. Hunter x Hunter really is one of the most brilliantly unpredictable shows I've ever watched

2019-09-25 17:27:54 +0000 UTCKite definitely had his head cut off. If you rewatch episode 85 you will see the Pitou is sitting in a puddle and it is not deep enough for a body to be in there. I did find that scene weird myself when I first saw it because I didn’t understand why they would cut the head off than sew it back on the body at first. It becomes more clear later on in the series. They just preserved his body and put his head back on it by freezing him. Gon is just optimistic so when the narrator says stuff like Gon’s mission is to save Kite he is talking about Gon’s desires not Kite’s actual status.

In a world full of fantastical characters, he would be the one to ground all of them. His kindness and compassion makes up for his lack of strength compared to others in it. That's kind of the gist to it.

You poor, sweet summer children. *pets* Perhaps it's just because you see his entire body in a block of ice and don't even assume he's been stitched together. I think the saddest part is knowing Kite is dead, but having to watch Gon so optimistically try and save him, feeling so sure he's still alive.
