They wont change from this bad format, unfortunatally, because others were sharing the youtube links to others that weren't paying and the Normies are trying to make more money. The irony is those people who were pirating won't pay for a subscription, so the Normies are not making any extra money like they think they are, they're just screwing loyal subscribers, and losing money since subscribers like myself wont be renewing since vimeo gives me so many problems. I don't think it was well thought out at all and was pushed more by patreon.
