Robin Workshop - Playback Link

What a wonderful afternoon - thank you all for joining me :)

Here's the link for the playback - I had a few technical issues at the beginning, but soon sorted it all out :)

I'd love to see your finished robins, so do email me or post in facebook - I'd like to make a montage of them all :)

I have a glass drawing board with a magnetic sheet which I try to use for drafting film, however sometimes there's a mark or the surface isn't quite right so then I'll use a super smooth sheet of card or paper behind. I find the back of pastelmat quite useful, but have also use the Yuplo paper - although that can lift and create a less stable surface. Foam board I feel would not be hard enough

Bonny I'm curious to know what kind of surface you are working on with your pieces. So this piece is film and I know that you have smooth paper behind it but are you working on a drafting table? Do you have a foam board you put behind to work on? I know that everyone is different. I was working off a mirror when using film just so I would have a completely smooth surface but found that the reflection was not a good thing so then someone recommended adding a foam board as they are smooth so I did that and it worked really well. Other people suggested just adding some white paper behind as well. I may see if I can flip the mirror over and use the back and then that would eliminate the reflection. I moved back home to live with my elderly parents to care for them and we have a very small house so we just don't have the space for a studio or even proper drafting table, so I have an easle.

Really enjoyed watching him come to life.
