Colour Recipe - Golden Retriever
Added 2020-12-05 15:39:33 +0000 UTCJust a short video - less than 15 minutes - explaining the colours I've used for this commission piece. Mostly luminance, but some lightfast and drawings - all chosen for their soft colours and blending ability.
Golden Retrievers vary so much in colour, so this is just one idea for colour, you may need to go lighter for those more white coloured dogs, or add more orange tones for the darker coloured ones.
I'm going to be adding black as well this month from a black horse I'm drawing.
Those of you who have asked about this one as a tutorial, sadly it's a commissioned piece, however I am create another Goldie as a tutorial this month - the video won't be available for a while as it's for another project, but I will be sharing with you at some point.
