Wow, that would be great. Since i work in education I buy polychromos for 1$ each. I can not buy pastelmat for any love or money in New Zealand :( I tried Jacksonart but the shipping was 50$ and they wont cut them for me to make the parcel smaller. The size of my one os 24 x 30 cm. I am really liking pastelmat so far. Working with Polychromos and finishing with C'Aran Dache luminance. So buttery and vivid :)

I know it can be tricky - there is no comparison. Fabriano artistico is a smooth hot press paper - sadly the quality has dwindled considerably, there's a funny pattern in the paper and little bits of the cotton come back up at you. Pastelmat is totally different made with cellulose fibres, it has a lot of tooth and is like almost drawing on a fabric - you get a completely different experience drawing on it.

Hi Bonny. I am having a hard time getting the Clairefontaine Pastelmat Board in New Zealand. Can you highlight why you chose pastelmat? What is the difference over using fabriano artistico hot pressed please? I love your work. Thank you for making my days better.
