I've been doing quite a bit of research over the last few months and wanted to start using a better quality camera for my videos. I thought about using my DSLR, but it comes with all sorts of complications, it will only record for 29 minutes (tax reasons means if it records for longer it's classed as a camcorder and then the tax changes), I can use a CAMLINK to use it as a webcam but it still shuts itself off after half an hour, so I decided to look at the video camera options, and came up with the Sony AX53. It's middle of the road, I can upgrade if I need to, but I think this will be quite a good upgrade for me at the moment. I've also invested in quite a lot of overhead rig equipment so that I get better stability in my videos. It's going to take a bit of getting used to, but I really hope my videos will be better quality from now on :)
