Fluffy Cat - Part 1

I've updated the materials list - new colours added are Polychromos Light Yellow Ochre, White, Walnut Brown, Studio: Gunmetal, Lightfast: Persian Orange
The main challenge with this piece is the fact that it's very pale and we're drawing it on white paper! So getting your darks dark is important - but the fact that the darkest darks are still really light - well that's where the challenge lies.
I'm using soft colours, and have not yet completed this piece, I don't envisage using any different colours to what I have listed, but there may possibly be a couple of extras which I will tell you about asap.

Are you using magic tape? it shouldn't take the surface of pastelmat board at all - I wonder if you have the wrong tape?
