Your chance to feature in a video

For all who couldn't make my little announcement today, here's the playback. And below I'm outlining what I have been discussing today.

This morning I spoke to a lovely lady from BBC York, I messaged her after she'd asked if anyone was doing anything to help their community with what is going on in the world at the moment.

So I told her I was starting a group Skype on a regular basis to help those in isolation to feel less lonely.

We chatted on the phone, and she absolutely loved the idea of what we're doing, and she would like us to create a video that will hopefully go up on the BBC websites.

Time is of the essence so we need your videos ASAP, we need them for Friday this week. You don't need to have your hair done or be glamorous - I mean look at me lol! Just be yourself, we are ordinary people helping other ordinary people :)

So, if you would like to participate here are the instructions:

Please record at 10-15 second video, using your phone or if you have video equipment that, but your phone is perfect. Hold it landscape so all the videos are the same format.

1. Introduce yourself - who you are and where you are from

2. tell us why you are finding these calls so useful - you're isolated, you are on your own, etc etc

3. Show us what you are drawing when you're joining the calls. (if you aren't drawing anything and just sitting and watching and drinking wine lol you can pretend you are drawing and show a video of one of your pieces perhaps with you drawing a bit on it.)

and that's it! You can be creative, you can get someone to help you or you can just hold up the camera and speak into it.

Getting your video to Emma

Once you have created your video, please email me on bonny.snowdon@gmail.com with the subject header SKYPE VIDEO letting me know that you have done it. I will then email you the whatsapp number to send it to. Emma will then edit all the videos and create one.

Once again I need these by Friday, I know it's a big ask but how fabulous would it be to have our videos on the BBC :)
