So with that in mind, I will be bringing you the occasional exclusive video from either our members here, or artists who I admire and follow and who are happy to share their videos to us first.
Shannagh-Leigh Hartshorn uses coloured pencil wet and dry to create her wonderful portraits. She is releasing the above video tomorrow to YouTube but has agreed to let us have the first viewing. Shannagh is very new to creating videos, and like many of us starting out has to contend with equipment that doesn't always work to our advantage. There are a few areas in the video that are a bit jumpy, but I'm hoping you can see through those and see how she creates the dog's nose using her water colour pencils.
This isn't a technique I use, although I have used the under painting technique with dry pencil on top, so if you'd like some tutorials using that technique I'd be happy to create something for you all.
