March's Tutorials
Added 2019-03-01 22:27:26 +0000 UTCI have now uploaded one focus video, which is the shiny black fur, and seven out of fourteen videos for the full donkey tutorial. I've attached the materials list as a pdf, and the line drawing and the photo ref both as jpg files. If anyone has any problems, please let me know and I can attach as pdf or I can email if you wish.
The colours are minimal for the black fur, and quite extensive for the donkey - however - please don't feel you have to buy every colour I use - honestly you don't need to. You can get away with using black, dark blue, dark red, an orange, warm greys and cold greys and a lilac and a light blue. All the makes of pencil I use, so Polychromos, Pablos, luminance and lightfast will work equally well - if you have a preference then do use them. The point of this tutorial is about texture, and understanding and learning how you can layer pencils to create feel-able fur.
If you don't have a slice tool please don't worry - they are fabulous and I highly recommend, but it's not the end of the world if you don't have one. A craft knife or scalpel will work, but just be careful as they are sharper.
