A Four Year Mistake
Added 2024-03-27 09:05:03 +0000 UTCWhen I was setting up the SpokenByElswyth website, I didn't think I'd want reviews enabled. I didn't want to screw around with moderating them!
By the time I changed my mind I already had dozens of things in the "shop". Imagine my distress when I realized that the happy checkbox I'd unticked to disable reviews isn't a global setting. It's just a default for new "products".
Every time I've added a new session, I've merely added to the number of individual times I'd need to fix this error. In the last four years, I've really turned it into an irritatingly huge task. So, I never got around to it.
A quick note about PitA
PitA is a real person. I suppose I've probably given him a bit of a reputation as a ditz! Yes, there are some bugs and mistakes in sessions, which is why I often have my happy harem act as test listeners. It's a good job PitA "doesn't really do hypnosis" or he'd likely fuck up even more often!
PitA is working on fixing the introductions to the old Getting Longer episodes. It shouldn't be a long process. The next episode will come out when everything is properly named and numbered.
A real Angel
I'm assigning a nickname to a real dear who solved our reviews problem; Angel. They pulled on their programmer socks, and were able to make a computer-code-doohickey that passed over the whole list of sessions and changed the setting for all of them in one go. I don't know for sure that Angel will contribute anything else to making SbE work, but this was enough!
You should now be able to review any session in the shop. Please don't go crazy, this is not a job! Plus, your dear Mistress still has to moderate the comments as they appear.
If you do like the idea of adding a testimonial, start with the 7 for $7 sessions. You should only be able to review things you have purchased, so if you still need to add one of these sessions to your personal library you can use the coupon code UNIQUE to grant yourself access to the one you'd most like.
More Website Gripes
Does something seem wrong about the SpokenByElswyth website? It's probably due to some ongoing irritation, like the reviews mistake. Tell me about it, and I'll run it past Angel. There might be something they can do.

I wanted to leave a review to show my appreciation of 'Naughty Bunny' after just listening to it, but found I could not. So apparently there are still some kinks (no pun intended) to be ironed out here.

Pup sometimes feels like a snitch when he reports an editing error but then again Pup sometimes draws Mistress attention to things the maids have lazily brushed under carpets or spots missed on the floor so... Pup mainly uses his phone to access the website so is not overly familiar with the layout of the site in desktop mode but shall investigate over the weekend. Pup will also need to check whether the mobile site has the review function (Edit - it does but it is telling me only those who have purchased can leave a review but they have been purchased)? One thing that did happen (might still do) is that you would get a reminder there was something in your basket even though you would have made a purchase and emptied the basket (will double check whether this still happens). At Mistress beck and call. 🐶
