Getting Longer Variations

Here's two variations of part of the Getting Longer session. There's some changes to the chimes, tick-tocking, and other cues you've heard in the main version.
I want you to be very honest with me, when you tell me what you think of each. Is there a clear improvement in one or the other?
I'm excited for the next piece of this session to come out, and want to make sure you're getting the most out of it!

Both are wonderful. I will note that, for me, the variability of alt 2 actually put me under deeper than alt 1 somehow. Eagerly looking forward to the next installment ❤️

2022-04-10 13:58:36 +0000 UTCThanks, that is what I suspected. The extra chimes serve as an alternate cue after the initial 5 minutes for those having fun with the Ouchie stick (my case). So I compared only those (since they will be the cue I focus on) instead of the ensemble, whereas those who chose breathing or stroking would likely refer to the whole composition. Following the 8-second cue throughout would result in almost 400 strikes over 55 minutes (I'm up to 110 after 15 and showing a nice shade of black and blue ;-), whereas switching to the chime cadence after the first 5 minutes would halve that to around 240 strikes.

2022-04-09 12:54:52 +0000 UTC'the sound' - the one that is first noticed when comparing two audios, kind of steps from being more harmonic with rest of the background in v1 to 'the front' in v2, not necessarily a bad thing + it was balanced by replacing the chime with the one of a lower pitch in v2 yes ?. Are You looking to choose between the two ? Have You considered using both ? for example like 8to1 minute ratio, or use v2 at a specific time during session for a brief time only to amplify/camouflage/shift the moment ? little bit of motion picture vibe

2022-04-09 01:39:22 +0000 UTCAre the comments above referring only to the added chimes or the overall music background? Personally, i would likely find the higher pitch of #1 way more annoying after 55 minutes and might end up clubbing myself senseless with the Ouchie stick at some point ;-)

2022-04-06 13:08:04 +0000 UTCThough I do much enjoy them both, Version 1 has a much better binural effect and complements your instructions better. Version 2 seems almost like it's trying to overshadow your voice a bit, and that is a taboo in these parts. - Connor the Useful One

I agree version 2 is a little busy with lots of competing sounds and at the start I was getting visions of flashing blue lights of an ambulance... It did become less of a distraction as time went on but I preferred version 1.
